 n\nSellán, Jacobson\n\nWe introduce a novel statistical derivation of the 
 classic Poisson Surface Reconstruction algorithm for recovering shapes fro
 m 3D point clouds. Instead of thorugh an implicit function, we represent t
 he reconstructed shape as a modified Gaussian Process, which allows us to 
 respond to statistical queries (e.g., the likelihood of a point in space b
 eing or not on the surface). We show this novel perspective not only broad
 ens the use cases of the classic Poisson Surface Reconstruction, but also
