 so, Galasso\n\nThis talk will discuss strategies for creating a short, ani
 mated film, in the midst of unprecedented change. During production on her
  film, Lock the Gate, Sarah Galasso transitioned from teaching 2D and 3D a
 nimation in an established BFA in Animation program to teaching game desig
 n and development courses within a BA in Digital Media Arts program at a n
 ew and unfamiliar college. Sarah was able to successfully balance full tim
 e teaching during a pandemic, developing new course content, finding grant
  funding for her original music score, completing freelance animation proj
 ects for her clients at her company www.augustproductions.com, and finding
  time to complete her film. The bulk of the film was produced between Febr
 uary and May of 2022. This is the first independent animation that Sarah h
 as produced since graduating with her MFA in Computer Animation from the R
 ochester Institute of Technology, in 2000.\n\nRegistration Category: FULL
