Biography
J.P.Lewis is a numerical programmer and researcher. He is currently a staff research scientist at Google Research. In the past he worked in the movie and games industries, including at Weta Digital, ILM, and ESC, and at Electronic Arts. He has received credits on a few movies including the Planet of the Apes series, Avatar, and The Matrix sequels, and his algorithms have been adopted in commercial software including Maya and several game engines. Lewis is also adjunct faculty in the machine learning group of Victoria University. His research has been published in SIGGRAPH, AAAI, CVPR, and ICML.
