Biography
I am an assistant professor at the University of Lugano, Switzerland, where I lead a group on Perception, Display, and Fabrication. Before that, I received my Ph.D. in computer science at Max Planck Institute for Informatics, spent two years at MIT as a postdoctoral associate, and four years as an independent research group leader at Saarland University and MPI Informatik.

My research interests include human perception (vision and haptics), new display technologies, image/video processing, and computational fabrication. My primary goal lies in combining a deep understanding of human perception with computation and hardware to improve display quality as well as 3D fabrication techniques.
