Yuji SAKAMOTO received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Hokkaido University, Japan in 1983, 1985, and 1988, respectively. In the same year, he joined the Hitachi, Ltd. From 1994 to 2000, he was a associate professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Muroran Institute of Technology. In 2000, he joined the Graduate School of Engineering, Hokkaido University as a associate professor. Currently, he is a professor at the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Hokkaido University. He has been engaged in research on computer-generated hologram, 3D image processing, computer graphics, and digital wireless communication.
