Wei-Zen Sun received the M.D. degree from National Taiwan University (NTU), Taipei, Taiwan, in 1984., He has served as the Faculty Staff (since 1989) and the Chair (2000–2016) of the Department of Anesthesiology, NTU Hospital. He has been investigating the spinal processing of nociceptive stimulation in animal and human, integrated medical resource with electronic, and informatics schemes for an acute pain service enterprise resource plan (i-Pain®). His focus extends across basic animal model and clinical practice of pain and EMS, from bench to bed, from academic innovation to industrial scalability.
