Jun Rekimoto (Ph.D. 1996, Tokyo Institute of Technology) is Professor of Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies at the University of Tokyo and Fellow and Deputy Director of Sony Computer Science Laboratories. His research interests include human-computer interaction, human augmentation, and human-AI integration. He has devised various innovative systems, including NaviCam, the world’s first mobile AR system, and HoloWall and SmartSkin (the two earliest representations of multi-touch systems). He is a member of the ACM SIGCHI Academy and has received numerous research and design awards for his work.
