Biography
Yusuke is a doctoral student at Tokyo Tech. He invented a new vibration mechanism using a combination of motors and string in 2015. The invention was highly evaluated in international conferences, e.g., achieved the Best Demo Award in EuroHaptics 2016. Then he developed Hapbeat, a haptic device using the mechanism, and founded Hapbeat LLC. He re-designed Hapbeat as a productive model and have been sold more than 400 pcs mainly to consumers. In 2019-2022, he joined a GREE VR Studio Laboratory internship and developed interactive technologies for XR live entertainment VibeShare that share non-verbal emotions between performer and viewer.
