Biography
Dr. Jill P. Naiman is a Teaching Assistant Professor at the School of Information Sciences (iSchool) at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her work spans the fields of astrophysics, data visualization and machine learning. She works in collaboration with the Advanced Visualization Lab at NCSA to develop methods and best practices for scientific visualization. She received her PhD in 2014 from the Astronomy & Astrophysics department at University of California, Santa Cruz and completed the NSF postdoctoral fellowship (2014-2017) and the Institute of Theory and Computation postdoctoral fellowship (2017-2018) at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
