Markku Mäkitalo received the Ph.D. degree in signal processing from the Tampere University of Technology (TUT) in 2013. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Tampere University. His research interests include photorealistic real-time multi-view rendering, low-latency image and video compression, and immersive rendering technologies, such as light field rendering.
