Jihun Yu joined Epic Games in 2020 where he is working in a metahuman group to push the realism of the digital human by applying computer vision and machine learning techniques. Previously, Jihun was a co-founder and CEO of Hyprsense, a tech start up who lead the real-time facial animation technology. Hyprsense team joined Epic Games through the acquisition of the IP. Jihun started his early career as a software engineer at ILM where he contributed to the real-time facial performance capture project. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from New York University.
