Ergun Akleman have been in Texas A&M University since 1995. He has been a Professor in the Departments of Visualization and Architecture. He is currently a professor in Visual Computing and Computation Media Section of newly created School of Performance, Visualization, and Fine Arts. He is also joint professor with Computer Science and Engineering. He received his Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1992. He has published more than 150 technical papers. He is also a professional cartoonist, illustrator and caricaturist who have published more than 500 cartoons, illustrations and caricatures.
