Markus Hadwiger is a professor of computer science at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia, where he leads the High-Performance Visualization research group at the KAUST Visual Computing Center. His research interests are extreme-scale visual computing, in particular volume and flow visualization, biological visualization, differential geometry and mathematical physics in visualization, multi-resolution and out-of-core techniques, and GPU algorithms. He has been involved in many courses and tutorials about volume rendering and visualization at ACM SIGGRAPH, ACM SIGGRAPH Asia, IEEE Visualization, and Eurographics.
