Biography
Ruizhen Hu is an Associate Professor at Shenzhen University, China. She received her Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematics, Zhejiang University. Her research interests are in shape analysis, geometry processing, and robotics. Her earlier works were mainly on solving new variants of classical geometry problems such as decomposition, grouping, and folding, which were motivated by emerging applications from shape design. Her recent focus is on applying machine learning to advance the understanding and generative modeling of visual data including 3D shapes and indoor scenes, and has produced a series of works on describing, analyzing, and learning functional and interactive properties of 3D objects and scenes.
