Biography
Dr Maja Divjak is the inaugural Biomedical Animator at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, where she is creating animations about cellular and molecular mechanisms leading to cancer. Maja completed her PhD in Molecular Biology at Monash University, but it was a chance meeting with world-renowned Biomedical Animator Dr Drew Berry that opened the doors to the wonderful world of science animation. Maja then studied Multimedia at Swinburne and 3D animation at the Australian Film Television and Radio School before undertaking an invaluable animation fellowship with Dr Berry. Her main expertise is animation of the invisible molecular world inside our cells.
